Join us for a screening hosted by MSJ of this widely acclaimed documentary! Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg is a fighter, an inspiration, and an icon—and this documentary tells the story of how she became a lawyer “when women were not wanted by the legal profession,” and explores her life and career fighting for women’s rights. Harvard Law School’s dean at the time even asked Ginsburg how she could justify taking a man’s spot in her law school class. When she graduated at the top of her class, she couldn’t get a job at a law firm, because she was a woman, a mother, and Jewish. But she persisted and began her trailblazing work for women’s rights, ultimately winning five groundbreaking rulings that made incredible progress for women. This month marked her 25th anniversary on the Supreme Court.
