November 6 • 7:30pm • Fireplace Room
Hold the presses: we are changing the title of our November book. If you liked Water for Elephants and The Nightingale, this book will capture your heart. The book committee has decided to read The Orphan’s Tale by Pam Jenoff for our November meeting. A best seller positively reviewed by NPR, Goodreads says: “A powerful novel of friendship set in a traveling circus during World War II, The Orphan’s Tale introduces us to two extraordinary women and their harrowing stories of sacrifice and survival.” This story, based on true events, puts a human face on one of the worst times in our history.
This will be our last meeting in 2018. Please join us for our January meeting, (no book title yet). The meeting will be the second Tuesday, January 8, 2019.
