Holy Week 2025

Palm Sunday, CCSM Sanctuary & Online
April 13, 10:30am
As Holy Week begins, join us for Palm Sunday! We'll meet on the front lawn and process in, waving palms and shouting Hosannas. Our Joyful Noise and Chancel Choirs will lead music, and our children and youth will help tell the story of Jesus' entry into Jerusalem.

Begin Holy Week with intention at our Agape Meal on Palm Sunday, April 13, from 5:30–6:30pm. This simple, sacred second service invites all ages to gather around the table for shared food, meaningful connection, and spiritual reflection. All are welcome!

Servico de Adoración Bilingüe

Good Friday
Friday, April 18, 7:00pm
CCSM Sanctuary & Online
Experience the story of the cross through powerful music, scripture, and reflection, exploring the tension between resistance and surrender. Featuring a multi-church choir, worship band, organ, piano, and strings, with a candle-lighting for peace.

Easter Vigil
Saturday, April 19, 7:00pm
College Heights UCC
1150 W. Hillsdale Blvd., San Mateo
An imaginative recreation of the first Great Vigil, held by Mary Magdalene, alone at the tomb. We will prepare for the Vigil by hearing Mary’s story, sharing in an anointing and celebrating communion, and concluding with a Taizé-like experience of spending the night waiting at the tomb.
Easter Sunday: April 20
Sunrise Worship: 6:30am • Join us in the Memorial Garden for a relaxed celebration. We’ll gather in the garden like the women did on that first Easter to hear the story and share in communion.
Traditional Worship: 10:30am • Swing by the front lawn before worship to help flower our cross! Our traditional service will be held in the sanctuary with guest soloists, choir, communion, and centered on the message “Grief & Hope.” We'll also be offering interpretation devices, and will translate the service in Spanish.
Easter Festival 10:30am • Children can celebrate the resurrection story through hands-on creativity! Kids will enjoy rotating through a variety of stations and stories including resurrection biscuits, creating their own flowered cross, Ukrainian egg decorating and more.
Easter Egg Hunt 11:30am • Join the CYF ministry for this traditional Easter Egg Hunt on the front lawn right after worship
Bilingual Easter Worship: April 20 at 1:00pm
Rev. Álvaro Durán will lead this bilingual Easter service in the sanctuary.
