Jerri Handy Intern, Pacific School of Religion

Jerri Handy is our clergy intern and joined the ministry team in September of 2008. She is currently enrolled in the Master of Divinity program at Pacific School of Religion in Berkeley, California. Jerri has experience in church planting. For six years she was the licensed pastor of a new church start in Portland, Oregon.

Jerri comes to ministry with a degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Christian Theological Seminary in Indianapolis, Indiana. She worked in Indianapolis as both a private practice therapist and a school-based counselor through Midtown Community Mental Health Center.

Through her work as a new church planter Jerri has had the opportunity to travel to Haiti as a ministry of presence. Jerri continues her work with Haiti in developing a seminary class dealing with healing the trauma that is so prevalent there.

Jerri and her partner Marge live in Berkeley while both of them continue their education.
