Peter Bassford Associate Organist

Peter Bassford is a recent addition to our talented music staff. He joined us last fall as our Associate Organist and also enjoys singing in our Chancel Choir when Angela is playing. Peter Bassford is a Music Specialist with the Burlingame School District where he teaches grades 3, 4 and 5 in instrumental and choral music. He served as organist and choir director of the Community United Methodist Church in Millbrae from 1988 until 2000.

Peter is a graduate of San Francisco State University where he earned his California Teaching Credential and a Bachelor of Music degree in Music-Piano Performance and Music Education. He also holds a certificate in the Orff-Schulwerk method of teaching young children. He resumed his teaching and performing after a 30 year career with the Bank of America in management.
